Acid Rain

Know: Causes effects, and more. a) Is a mixture of clean water with the contaminant gasses (Nitrogen, sulfur, etc.), this components react with the atmosphere, so they are going to create sulfuric acid (H2SO4) and nitric acid (HNO3)? b) The Human production in factories, the excessive use of automobiles is the biggest contributions to produce acid rain. c) Modify the wildlife killing insects and contaminating the water supplies used for animals to survive. d)  Cause in humans respiratory diseases like bronchitis and asthma.

Wonder: Things I want to know a) How this problem affects ecosystems and human needs? b) Which are the most affected species? C) What is the main factor that pollutes water?

Learned: Actions to solve the problem a) Recollect the dirty water to be used on a solar distiller to transform it on clean water b) Don’t use the car for short distances because it produces a lot of contamination C) Don´t let trash on the streets, try to recollect your garbage like bottles, bags, husks and more (you can recycle that materials to make new products

Pollution by trash

Wonder: Things I want to know a) Have you ever thrown garbage in the street? b) Have you ever use the car on unnecessary conditions c) Which is the principal cause that produces pollution (Consumerism, human and industry activities, etc.)?

Learned: Actions to solve the problem Reduce. Reuse and recycle Buy only the products that you need to survive Don’t let trash on the street because that activity modifies a lot environmental process, (You can charge a bag with you to let your garbage there)

Writing section: Write about an environmental issue describing the causes, effects and why is important to solve it.

The planet is having brutal and toxic changes as results of the production a big quantity of trash and more human activities causing important changes on vital natural process required for species and human to survive. To make a positive change we can do the next activities: Don’t ‘take long showers, don´t feed the consumerism (Buy only the necessary to live, in this way we can save a lot of natural resources and also save the place where we live being responsible and committed to help.
